My Trading Journey: Lessons Learned

I’m Guan Chuan, or GC. Since 2016, I’ve been trading, both by hand and using computer programs. It wasn’t easy at first. Many beginners, like me, search for the perfect strategy, a guaranteed win. This led to lots of stop-losses and frustration.

Bouncing Around

Wanting quick profits, I kept switching between manual and automatic trading. When I lost money manually, I doubted it and switched to programs. But when programs lost, I went back to manual trading. This cycle lasted for years.

I even spent a lot on trading gurus, hoping to find the secret. But success remained out of reach. Finally, I realized making money wasn’t just about buying and selling at the right time. It’s all about managing risk effectively.

Even risky strategies can be profitable with good risk management. For example, grid martingale might suit traders who have trouble accepting losses.

Trading can be tough mentally. By understanding these challenges and tackling them one by one, anyone can improve their chances of success. Just start trading and learn from your experiences.
